Loramendi's outstanding design department, with 40 engineers, enables the manufacture of Taylor made products. Drawings are created at each of their CAD/CAM Stations using Hewlett Packard equipment. The most advanced designs can only be produced with tools specialised for mechanical and automation design. The latest ME-10 software is used for mechanical design under UNIX and ELECTRE software for automation design under Windows NT.

Not only is the equipment customised to specific requirements, but also the documentation supplied with it. The people working full time in the manuals and drawings supplied make sure that all the safety, operation and maintenance requirements can be clearly understood by the foundry operators in the simple and self-explained manuals, written in the specified language.

Innovation and improvement have been vital for Loramendi's success. Today, the Research and Development team continuously strives for better products. Besides their CAD-CAM stations, they use three-dimensional visualisation and computerised process modelling.

Customer Technical Assistance is a key aspect of Loramendi. Aware of the importance of direct and efficient response, it provides this service from the headquarters in Spain and the branch offices world-wide. Skilled technicians familiar with each installation will solve any doubts or problems that may occur in a foundry.
